Cross-border documents
Border requirements change. Confirm the current requirements with the organiser and the relevant authorities before departure.
- —Passport valid well beyond the travel dates
- —Vehicle registration papers and, if financed, a letter of authority
- —Driver's licence and required vehicle identification
- —Travel and vehicle insurance covering the countries on the route
Camp and personal kit
Pack in soft bags rather than hard cases — they fit the gaps a packed vehicle leaves you.
- —Layered clothing for cold mornings and hot afternoons
- —Headlamp, power cables and a compact first aid kit
- —Water storage and a refillable bottle
- —Camp chair, bedding and a sun hat
